CMA CGM Air Cargo joins MyCargo platform

Announced back in May 2022 CMA CGM Air Cargo has been fully incorporated into the Air France-KLM Group web platform. MyCargo allows seamless booking of cargo across all three airlines capacity. CMA CGM capacity is now accessible by existing Air France and KLM customers. CMA CGM Air cargo customers now have access to MyCargo to reserve space on Air France or KLM operating flights. MyCargo covers both freighter and bellyhold cargo.

This freighter partnership is a long term vision with a minimum framework of 10 years. Giving stability and providing a more compelling offering to both sets of customers alike. All relevant authorities have now legally approved the deal with all work completed on the tie up. All parties are committed to it’s shared vision. Game changing solutions, focusing on sustainability, smart digitalisation and integrated technology.

How it works in practice for CMA CGM and AF/KL

Air France/KLM and CMA CGM will jointly operate all freighter capacity across their joint airlines. Combined capacity currently consists of 12 full freighter aircraft. 6 run my CMA CGM and 6 by Air France/KLM. The commercial partnership has access to all of Air France/KLM’s lower deck capacity on passenger aircraft. Some 160+ Long range bellyhold aircraft operate within Air France/KLM’s fleet.

CMA CGM’s air cargo fleet operate a combination of A330F and 777F aircraft. This compliments AF/KL’s full freighter fleet of B777F and B747F. The B747F freighters operating from AMS, the other aircraft from CDG. With 17 Freighter destinations now shown better coverage exists in China and India ( Starting May 02nd). Increasing the reach of customers of the MyCargo platform. MyCargo has also increased it’s booking type over the last few months. incorporating heavyweight and specialist cargo bookings without the need to come outside of the system. MyCargo is truly aiming to be a one-stop solution for it’s freight forwarding customers.
